Custom tuition in book and paper conservation

If you are looking for a training matching your particular needs, you might want to join any of the scheduled courses, or I will be glad to prepare a training fitting your demands. Please send an e-mail (info@ritaudina.com) with this information:

  • Number of attendees for the training.
  • Present job or knowledge level of the attendees.
  • Topics to be covered.
  • Duration of the workshop/training.
  • Preferred language.
  • Whether the course is to be held at this conservation studio or somewhere else. In that case, a brief description of the conservation resources will be welcome (equipment, space, etc.).

It is recommended that participants bring the type of artefact with the kind of damage they would like to do the practice with. Please send in advance some images of the selected items in order to discuss their suitability in pedagogical terms and shape the topics to cover. The practice will be supervised by the tutor but responsibility lies upon the participant, therefore only documents and books with scarce value should be selected. Training conservation techniques is by now only offered in-person modality. Thanks!

CANCELLATION POLICIES:
The fee and cancellation policies are set by the organizing institution. Policies for workshops organized here:

  • Place at the workshop is guaranteed only at the moment of payment, otherwise your place is not saved.
  • Once your place is confirmed, and in case you need to cancel, the fee will be refunded only in the case that there is another participant in the waiting list that matches the targeted audience and is ready to join the course (the organizers shall establish the following attendee in the waiting list, and not the person who cancels). There shall be no refund if no there is no available participant on the waiting list.
  • Bank charges of the refund will be on behalf of the participant that leaves his/her place free. Anyhow, 45 days before the course the fee will be refunded only 75% due to secretary duplicities and urgency in submitting a new participant. The fee for the new participant remains the same.
  • In case the course is suspemnded by the organizers, the participants will be offered other dates to do it, or to be given back the full fee. The organisation will not refund any accommodation, travel or other expenses related to the course in any case.
  • The organiser can suspend the course if there is not enough participants.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE:
Do not forget to bring your health medical assistance if you are coming from a European Union (EU) country. You will receive medical assistance easily, if ever you were in need. It is recommended to hire a private medical insurance for your journey if coming from other countries not belonging to the EU.
