• Maybe I do not require exactly conservation but my artefact is indeed very old and/or valuable amd I need an expert opinion of its value.
  In that case you should address to an appraiser, an expert or historian.
  As a conservator I can only assess the economic costs of the restoration, not necessarily proportional to the value of the artefact.

I am no conservator, nor I want to learn conservation,
I just want to do some conservation treatments

  because I cannot / shall not afford the costs of a professional conservation but:

Whichever your case is, I shall appreciate a minimum introduction with your request: your name and surname, whether you are conservator or not. If you are a conservator where are you based (town and country, at least) if you are a student where are you studying… It feels more attractive to reply to someone whom I have some information. I am not a google robot that replies automatically to a Whatsapp number or an Instagram account, I am a persona and I rather relate to other (well mannered) persons. I try to reply with the same education I am addressed at.
