Conservation, facsimile binding and dust jackets for Encyclopaedia
Some projects are extremely complex regarding the ethical professional decision making, and this is certainly one of the toughests! Rather than trimming the original beautiful bindings with marbled edges, some facsimile dust-jackets were made to protect the books, that were also restored preserving all their features.

Workshop: Conservation and repair of damaged books
Theoretical and practical workshop in which we'll learn to look at books in order to understand their structure: case bound bindings, paperback, perfect bindings, with or without sewing, hard or soft covers, tight back or hollow spine. Only afterwards it is possible to make the proper diagnosis of damage, in order to proceed to the repair practice.
